I’ve decided to keep like, an activity journal here on my blog, and my food journal in just a little notebook. ‘Cause I’m pretty sure that no one wants to read about what I ate for lunch, right?
Anyways, I’ve found a lot of cool new info from Peta.com, and they have a “Vegetarian Starter Kit” that they give people for free to help them with their new vegetarian lifestyle and diet. Even though I’m not a new vegetarian, I know that I have not been dieting very healthy, so I think that if I were to get this kit, it would help me with a fresh start on my change. Thinkin’ ‘bout orderin’ one soon.
So, it’s day two, recordin’ what I eat, just gonna continue with my usual piggin’ out diet so I can get my baseline data, and then next week I’ll begin the big dramatic change with my diet.
Can’t wait!

Today’s the day I’ve decided to start my change. Not sure how this little shindig is gonna work out, but I’m trying to stay optimistic. The whole point to doing this is to help me personally and healthwise.
I’ve decided to do all of my journal entries and anything else that I can as an extension on my blog here. I hope it works out.
I wanna keep the journal entries kind of short and sweet from now on.
Hopefully I’ll be finding some new recipes and such to put up on here.
One new vegetarian recipe blog that my civics teacher showed me was one called “Oh She Glows”.
I think that it’s a really schnazzy blog, and I can’t wait to cook some of the things I find on there.
Well, it’s day one, here goes nothin’.

I have yet to pick an official start date for this project, but I think that I really need to start on Monday of next week if I want to give myself enough time to accomplish these goals. I think that it will be hard for me to remember to keep a journal, and record meals and all that jazz. And I think that it will be hard to take the time to cook meals for myself and find new recipes, and the way that I want to present my change project to the class (feeding the high schoolers lunch) will be very difficult for me. I think that I will need to start cooking for myself more and find more new and interesting recipes so that it is a lot easier for me to keep up with this change, even after we are done doing the project in school. I think one reward would be keeping my body healthy. I have yet to think of anymore rewards to give to myself throughout the project, but I think that I will come up with more as we get farther into the project.
My thoughts about the project right now are that this will be really good for me, both health and mentally wise, and that this will help me learn how to diet, for when I get older and there may be more of a problem with my weight and the foods that I eat. I also think that if I stick with this change project after we are done doing it in school, it will help build my character and it will help with the strength of my willpower, because I know that both of those are lacking, in my mind at least. I am really looking forward to doing this project and accomplishing the goals that I have set for myself.
